Thomas (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99001
Price: £9.99
Although he is rather a cheeky, fussy little engine, Sir Topham Hatt told Thomas he was "a Really Useful Engine" and that he would give him his own branch line. (Of which Thomas is extremely proud, of course). He often gets into scrapes, usually by being over eager to do things best left to bigger and more sensible engines. But clouds never last long in Thomas' life and he's soon bustling about again.

Edward (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99002
Price: £14.49
Edward is an older engine, but the most important thing about him is that he's kind to everyone. When the other engines misbehave, it's Edward that Sir Topham Hatt turns to to calm everyone down and restore order. Edward sometimes gets puffed out, but never very cross.

Henry (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99003
Price: £14.49
Henry is a long, fast engine. He has a thoroughbred look and like all thoroughbreds tends to be somewhat highly strung and prone to illness. But he has a new shape now, and sympathetically driven he'll give any engine a run for its money.

Gordon (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99004
Price: £14.49
Gordon is the senior member of the engine family, the fastest and most powerful of Sir Topham Hatt's string, and he knows it. He's good hearted though and always willing to forgive and use his superior strength to help the smaller engines out of trouble.

James (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99005
Price: £14.49
James has a fine scarlet coat and likes to think of himself as a really splendid engine. This can lead to high-falutin' ideas about the sort of work suitable for such a noble creature; invariably they land James in trouble.

Percy (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99006
Price: £9.99
Percy is the junior member of the principle team of engines. He is a cheerful little chap who's normally quite happy puffing around the yard with no particular desire for adventure in the great world outside. He is always keen to oblige which means other engines sometimes take advantage and just occasionally his respect and admiration for Sir Topham Hatt borders on outright servility.

Duck (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99018
Price: £9.99
Duck - whose real real name is Montague - is a cheerful, busy character. He's only a small tank engine but, coming as he does from the GWR, he'll stand no nonsense whatsoever from larger engines who try to order him about.

Frank (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99164

Oliver (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99062

Oliver and his brake van Toad were saved from scrap by Douglas and are very grateful to him. Oliver had a new coat of paint of which he is very proud and now works very happily on Duck's branch line.

Ref : Learning-Curve-99158
Price: £11.99
Derek the Diesel looks the part, but sadly he suffers a lot from overheating and various other teething troubles. The twins, Bill & Ben discover that as much as they dislike diesels, Derek is a kindly soul and they feel sorry for him after he tries his best to help them. You can slide Dereks engine out to help him cool down.

Duke With Coal Car (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99078
Price: £14.49
The oldest of the narrow gauge engines and so the most experienced. He enjoys teaching the others the proper way to do things and often talks about The Good Old Days when rules and regulations were obeyed. Despite his head teacher attitude he is gentle and kind to younger engines but maintains his authority at all times.

Bill (Wooden)
Ref : Learning-Curve-99014
Price: £9.99
Bill & Ben are identical twins and it is fair to say, probably the most mischievous characters in the whole railway family. They wear big identical grins and work mostly between the clay pits of the Sodor China Clay Company and the harbour, which is just as well, since too long in their company drives the senior engines to distraction.
